Report: Community High School District 218 School District spent $21,335 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Community High School District 218 was up 6.5 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Cook County school district spent $20,034 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $21,335 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 5,383 to 5,342 students over the same period.

Community High School District 218's spending in 2019-20 was 47.2 percent higher than the state average of $14,492.
