Report: Porta School District spent $9,756 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Porta Community Unit School District 202 was up 7 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Menard County school district spent $9,114 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $9,756 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 1,132 to 1,127 students over the same period.

Porta's spending in 2019-20 was 32.7 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
