Report: Prophetstown-Lyndon-Tampico School District spent $11,976 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Prophetstown-Lyndon-Tampico Community Unit School District 3 was up 28.5 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Whiteside County school district spent $9,317 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $11,976 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 899 to 757 students over the same period.

Prophetstown-Lyndon-Tampico's spending in 2019-20 was 17.4 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
