Report: Pawnee School District spent $10,487 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Pawnee Community Unit School District 11 was up 25 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Sangamon County school district spent $8,388 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $10,487 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 648 to 601 students over the same period.

Pawnee's spending in 2019-20 was 27.6 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
