Report: Johnsburg School District spent $14,584 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Johnsburg Community Unit School District 12 was up 14.9 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Mchenry County school district spent $12,698 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $14,584 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 1,976 to 1,807 students over the same period.

Johnsburg's spending in 2019-20 was 0.6 percent higher than the state average of $14,492.
