Report: Edinburg School District spent $11,317 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Edinburg Community Unit School District 4 was up 62.4 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Christian County school district spent $6,967 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $11,317 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 289 to 251 students over the same period.

Edinburg's spending in 2019-20 was 21.9 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
