Report: Grayslake School District spent $13,793 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Grayslake Community Consolidated School District 46 was up 15.9 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Lake County school district spent $11,901 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $13,793 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 3,855 to 3,679 students over the same period.

Grayslake's spending in 2019-20 was 4.8 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
