Report: Northbrook School District spent $21,502 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Northbrook Elementary School District 27 was up 4.3 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Cook County school district spent $20,615 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $21,502 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 1,297 to 1,273 students over the same period.

Northbrook's spending in 2019-20 was 48.4 percent higher than the state average of $14,492.
