Report: Joliet School District spent $13,722 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Joliet Public Schools District 86 was up 27.7 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Will County school district spent $10,743 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $13,722 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 11,695 to 10,798 students over the same period.

Joliet's spending in 2019-20 was 5.3 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
