Report: North Boone School District spent $12,872 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at North Boone Community Unit School District 200 was up 23.4 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Boone County school district spent $10,434 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $12,872 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 1,666 to 1,587 students over the same period.

North Boone's spending in 2019-20 was 11.2 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
