Report: Beecher School District spent $10,235 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Beecher Community Unit School District 200U was up 8.7 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Will County school district spent $9,416 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $10,235 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment rose from 1,023 to 1,075 students over the same period.

Beecher's spending in 2019-20 was 29.4 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
