Report: Gardner School District spent $10,911 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Gardner Community Consolidated School District 72C was up 13.4 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Grundy County school district spent $9,622 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $10,911 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 198 to 173 students over the same period.

Gardner's spending in 2019-20 was 24.7 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
