Report: Seneca School District spent $18,821 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Seneca Community Consolidated School District 170 was up 26.5 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the La Salle County school district spent $14,880 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $18,821 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment rose from 490 to 501 students over the same period.

Seneca's spending in 2019-20 was 29.9 percent higher than the state average of $14,492.
