Report: Seneca School District spent $27,933 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Seneca Township High School District 160 was up 27.9 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the La Salle County school district spent $21,843 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $27,933 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 448 to 427 students over the same period.

Seneca's spending in 2019-20 was 92.7 percent higher than the state average of $14,492.
