Report: Summit Hill School District spent $11,979 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Summit Hill School District 161 was up 6.8 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Will County school district spent $11,219 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $11,979 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 3,185 to 2,746 students over the same period.

Summit Hill's spending in 2019-20 was 17.3 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
