Report: North Mac School District spent $10,075 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at North Mac Community Unit School District 34 was up 25.8 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Macoupin County school district spent $8,009 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $10,075 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 1,477 to 1,255 students over the same period.

North Mac's spending in 2019-20 was 30.5 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
