Report: Skokie School District spent $15,002 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Skokie School District 69 was up 23.2 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Cook County school district spent $12,181 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $15,002 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment rose from 1,690 to 1,754 students over the same period.

Skokie's spending in 2019-20 was 3.5 percent higher than the state average of $14,492.
