Report: Salt Creek School District spent $23,422 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Salt Creek School District 48 was up 24.6 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Dupage County school district spent $18,792 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $23,422 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment rose from 496 to 500 students over the same period.

Salt Creek's spending in 2019-20 was 61.6 percent higher than the state average of $14,492.
