Report: Kaneland School District spent $15,105 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Kaneland Community Unit School District 302 was up 21.4 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Kane County school district spent $12,446 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $15,105 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 4,559 to 4,259 students over the same period.

Kaneland's spending in 2019-20 was 4.2 percent higher than the state average of $14,492.
