Report: Lincoln School District spent $12,290 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Lincoln Elementary School District 27 was up 24.7 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Logan County school district spent $9,854 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $12,290 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 1,199 to 1,116 students over the same period.

Lincoln's spending in 2019-20 was 15.2 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
