Report: Winnetka School District spent $23,492 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Winnetka School District 36 was up 14.2 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Cook County school district spent $20,578 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $23,492 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 1,763 to 1,656 students over the same period.

Winnetka's spending in 2019-20 was 62.1 percent higher than the state average of $14,492.
