Report: Mt Zion School District spent $9,028 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Mt Zion Community Unit School District 3 was up 8.4 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Macon County school district spent $8,332 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $9,028 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 2,527 to 2,436 students over the same period.

Mt Zion's spending in 2019-20 was 37.7 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
