Report: Maine School District spent $21,034 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Maine Township High School District 207 was up 8 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Cook County school district spent $19,475 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $21,034 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 6,374 to 6,275 students over the same period.

Maine's spending in 2019-20 was 45.1 percent higher than the state average of $14,492.
