Report: Lake Forest School District spent $21,590 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Lake Forest School District 67 was up 28.4 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Lake County school district spent $16,809 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $21,590 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 1,783 to 1,665 students over the same period.

Lake Forest's spending in 2019-20 was 49 percent higher than the state average of $14,492.
