Report: Canton Union School District spent $9,935 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Canton Union School District 66 was up 9.9 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Fulton County school district spent $9,044 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $9,935 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 2,604 to 2,345 students over the same period.

Canton Union's spending in 2019-20 was 31.4 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
