Report: Vernon Hills School District spent $22,621 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Vernon Hills Community High School District 128 was up 2.7 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Lake County school district spent $22,028 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $22,621 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 3,351 to 3,288 students over the same period.

Vernon Hills's spending in 2019-20 was 56.1 percent higher than the state average of $14,492.
