Report: Astoria School District spent $11,264 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Astoria Community Unit School District 1 was down 7.4 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Fulton County school district spent $12,164 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $11,264 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 350 to 314 students over the same period.

Astoria's spending in 2019-20 was 22.3 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
