Report: Heyworth School District spent $11,337 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Heyworth Community Unit School District 4 was up 15 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Mclean County school district spent $9,861 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $11,337 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 970 to 934 students over the same period.

Heyworth's spending in 2019-20 was 21.8 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
