Report: Oak Lawn School District spent $16,085 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Oak Lawn Community High School District 229 was down 2 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Cook County school district spent $16,414 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $16,085 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment rose from 1,837 to 1,842 students over the same period.

Oak Lawn's spending in 2019-20 was 11 percent higher than the state average of $14,492.
