Report: River Trails School District spent $14,659 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at River Trails School District 26 was down 11.4 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Cook County school district spent $16,536 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $14,659 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment rose from 1,484 to 1,607 students over the same period.

River Trails's spending in 2019-20 was 1.2 percent higher than the state average of $14,492.
