Report: Richmond-Burton School District spent $19,882 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Richmond-Burton Community High School District 157 was up 30.9 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Mchenry County school district spent $15,184 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $19,882 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 715 to 611 students over the same period.

Richmond-Burton's spending in 2019-20 was 37.2 percent higher than the state average of $14,492.
