Report: Pennoyer School District spent $10,739 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Pennoyer School District 79 was up 8.2 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Cook County school district spent $9,921 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $10,739 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment rose from 416 to 434 students over the same period.

Pennoyer's spending in 2019-20 was 25.9 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
