Report: Palos School District spent $13,791 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Palos School District 118 was up 4.8 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Cook County school district spent $13,159 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $13,791 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment rose from 1,951 to 2,003 students over the same period.

Palos's spending in 2019-20 was 4.8 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
