Report: Fairmont School District spent $14,823 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Fairmont School District 89 was up 14.2 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Will County school district spent $12,975 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $14,823 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 327 to 322 students over the same period.

Fairmont's spending in 2019-20 was 2.3 percent higher than the state average of $14,492.
